Dan Rubin, played by Matthew Porretta, was a recurring character seen on Beverly Hills, 90210, the first series of the Beverly Hills, 90210 continuity. He appears in Season 4.
Dan was a university English teacher and resident adviser at the dorm of Andrea Zuckerman. The two of them quickly began dating, despite it being against the rules for a teacher to date a student. Dan was Andrea's first lover, but after Dan voiced his displeasure with the sanctity of marriage, Andrea began to see him differently, eventually leaving him for Jesse Vasquez.
