Dan was a university English teacher and resident adviser at the dorm of Andrea Zuckerman. The two of them quickly began dating, despite it being against the rules for a teacher to date a student. Dan was Andrea's first lover, but after Dan voiced his displeasure with the sanctity of marriage, Andrea began to see him differently, eventually leaving him for Jesse Vasquez. Dan hung around for a few weeks, bitter over the breakup, but eventually transferred out of her dorm and was not heard from again.
