Howard is a junior at West Beverly Hills High School who also worked on The Blaze, frequently seen arguing with his friend Tobi as a throwback to Brandon Walsh and Andrea Zuckerman's early days. Howard and Tobi were concerned with the lack of spirit of the class of 1993 once Donna Martin was suspended for being drunk at the prom by Superintendent Ephardt. When Brandon organized a walkout on the school board to protest Donna's suspension, Howard and Tobi organized the junior class to follow suit if they would add dumping the dress code to their demands. Howard and Tobi later protested with the seniors and juniors of the school, sending the meeting into an uproar.
