Synopsis[edit | edit source]
Steve's "harmless prank" with his fraternity lands Brandon in hot water; Donna lobbies to get a jock into her sorority; Kelly takes Jimmy (Michael Stoyanov) on a religious journey.
Recap[edit | edit source]
Kelly takes Jimmy to temple to celebrate the Jewish New Year. The next day Jimmy becomes very ill and Kelly goes to see him on his deathbed. Jimmy thanks Kelly for being such a good friend and they pose for a picture together before he dies. Donna is her sorority’s pledge chairperson and tries to recruit new members. She gives shy basketball player, DANNY, a makeover to help her get into Alpha house and is bothered by the superficiality of the pledge process. When Alpha House reluctantly offers Danny her bid she announces she has pledged another sorority, one that is not so elitist. Donna resigns as rush chairperson hoping to make a statement to Alpha House president, ELLEN. Steve leads a group of KEG fraternity pledges in a Spirit Day prank. The group streaks through Chancellor Arnold's speech wearing nothing but shaving cream. They are caught on videotape as the sprinklers wash off their shaving cream disguises. Chancellor Arnold and Dean Shawn are furious when the incident is broadcast on the CU News and Dean Shawn calls for the students to be punished for an act of sexual harassment. Chancellor Arnold orders Brandon to turn over the master tapes so that he can identify the offenders. Brandon resists in order to protect Steve but eventually, and reluctantly, presents the tapes. Upon viewing, they are mysteriously blank. As Steve is about to confess, to ease his guilty conscience and calm down Clare, Tracy reveals that she erased the video with a magnet out of loyalty to Steve and Brandon. Kenny rents an apartment for his liaisons with Valerie. She becomes furious when he stands her up for a romantic dinner because he is out with his family.
