Remember The Alamo is the premiere of Season 7 of Beverly Hills, 90210.
Synopsis[]
Brandon encounters bigots while traveling through Texas; and Donna and David find that their video work - and renewed romance - may have a short run.
Plot[]
David criticizes Donna as they try to complete a video shoot with a temperamental singer. They find out that Erik, their boss has been fired and David panics that he’ll lose his directing contract with the management company. Donna ends the working partnership after learning that David plans to drop out of school to pursue this work full-time. After traveling alone for most of the summer, Brandon joins Steve for The Summer Olympics Games and they road-trip home. Their car breaks down in tiny Hadley City, Texas where Steve decides to catch a bus to Houston and fly home to surprise Clare. Later, it is discovered that Clare, also wanting to surprise Steve, flew to San Antonio. Because of a weather delay they run into each other in an airport and have a loving reunion. In Hadley City, Brandon meets MARIAH, a young African American assistant librarian who has tolerated awful bigotry in the small town. After her boss hassles her for allegedly having a relationship with Brandon she quits her job. Their blossoming friendship irks the townspeople and a confrontation ensues with the redneck mechanics fixing Brandon’s car. Mariah announces to Brandon she is moving to New York to write a book and thanks Brandon for giving her the encouragement needed to change her life. To agitate the mechanics, Brandon gives Mariah a big kiss as she boards the bus out of town. Jim Walsh recommends family friend and accountant, KENNY BANNERMAN, to Valerie to help sort out the After Dark's finances.
