- —Brandon's future
Spring Breakdown is the 24th episode of Season 7 of Beverly Hills, 90210.
Synopsis[]
In Hong Kong, Brandon's father (James Eckhouse) queries him about his feelings for Kelly, who, meanwhile, is at home drowning her sorrows. Elsewhere, Donna and her mother (Katherine Cannon) disagree about what's best for Dr. Martin's recovery; Valerie turns green after Rob's manager (Richard C. Hearst) pairs him with another client (Paige Rowland) for a big party.
Plot[]
Felice and Donna argue about the best post-stroke treatment for Dr. Martin after he leaves the hospital; Felice wants him in a rehab facility and Donna thinks he would be better off at home. For the premiere of his new movie, Rob’s manager suggests he escort a sexy blonde actress instead of Valerie. Valerie goes along with the idea but is overcome with jealousy at the party at After Dark; she breaks her deal with Alan. The movie is a failure with the audience and critics. Alan tells Rob that Valerie accepted his bribe to get him to do the movie. Rob is angry with Valerie for accepting money from Alan but they make up and he later asks her to become his manager.
Brandon and Tracy arrive in Hong Kong and are ready to sightsee. Jim Walsh explains that his wife went to London to visit an ill Brenda. Jim questions Brandon’s relationship with Tracy and uncovers that he still has deep feelings for Kelly. Brandon continues to defend his feelings for Tracy. Tracy buys a book of the old legend of a man torn between two lovers; he eventually drowns in indecision. Clare and Steve encourage Kelly to go out instead of moping around the apartment, sulking that Brandon took Tracy to Hong Kong. At After Dark she has too many drinks and starts flirting with a guy named PETER. While dancing, his hand gets caught on her necklace, it breaks and Kelly freaks out when she thinks she has lost the engagement ring that was hanging around her neck. Steve finds the ring and questions Kelly’s reasoning for having it, he convinces her to put the ring away for good and let go of Brandon.
