The Condor is the university paper for UCLA, which both Brandon and Andrea go out for as incoming college freshmen. The editor is Josh Richland who has a more tabloidist approach to printed words than is morally acceptable. Thus, he clashes with both Andrea and Brandon, the latter especially, although the two eventually become friends and work well together.
